Bertie Ahern is a former Taoiseach of Ireland, serving three terms between 1997 and 2008. He was a central political figure during a period of significant economic and social change.

He played a key role in the Northern Ireland peace process, including the Good Friday Agreement, and remains a prominent commentator on Irish public life.
