Gerry McAvoy is an Irish bass guitarist best known for his long collaboration with Rory Gallagher, where his powerful and instinctive playing became a defining element of Gallagher’s sound.
Following that period, he has continued an international career in blues and rock, including work with Joe Bonamassa, and is widely respected for his musicianship and longevity within the genre.
